TEST METHOD
As the yarn passes through the PROMPT OLR sensor, electrical resistance is measured using conductivity-based technology. Instead of contact pins, conductive precision rollers ensure stable signal pick-up and gentle yarn handling. The sensor operates at a sampling rate of 1.6 kHz and supports yarn speeds from 5 to 200 m/min. Data is transmitted via CAN bus and Ethernet to a PC or PLC system, where it can be visualized and analyzed using PROMPT software.
BENEFITS
- Real-time monitoring
Continuous measurement of resistance and conductivity during production enables immediate feedback and early detection of quality deviations.
- Gentle yarn handling
Conductive precision rollers ensure reliable signal acquisition without damaging the yarn, even at high speeds.
- Flexible integration
PROMPT OLR can be adapted to various production environments and communicates via standard industrial interfaces (CAN bus, Ethernet, OPC UA).
- Data-driven process control
Live values and long-term statistics are available through the integrated SQL database, supporting detailed analysis and traceability.
- Robust and reliable
Designed for industrial conditions, the sensor operates reliably in environments with vibration, dust and fluctuating humidity.
