PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Dyeability is a key quality parameter for staple fibre, filament yarn, and fabric; poor dyeing results often origin in production inconsistencies. Reliable and reproducible methods for dyeing fibre/filament/fabric samples are therefore essential to ensure consistent colour testing. The FM 02 dyeing machine allows up to eight samples to be dyed simultaneously. It offers flexible operation with adjustable time and temperature settings to meet varying requirements. When used alongside Lenzing Instruments’ Vibrochrom 400 colorimeter, the testing process is completed with precise colour comparisons against reference samples.

TEST METHOD

Fiber samples are placed in sample cages, which are continuously perfused with dye colour through the rotating movement of the cylinder, in which the cages are positioned. The dyeing process is both temperature- and time controlled.
